What if the accident or event happened at work, can I still start a Personal Injury Lawsuite?
The statute of limitations for work-related accidents is the same as other accidents or injuries.
Florida Statutes section 95.11 (3)(1) give you 4 years (from when the event causing the injury occurred) to sue for compensation for injuries. Importantly in the statutes is the phraseology “an action founded on negligence”. In order to engage in a lawsuit, negligence has to be established.
